Switching between two 1080p60 NDI streams (generated with Scan Converter software):

• NDI Studio Monitor: switching is smooth and takes about one second.
• BirdDog HDMI output: switching is not smooth (white, green and purple frames while switching) and takes about 3 seconds. I tested with two HDMI dispays, exactly the same result. It looks like the BirdDog is using a frame buffer so that the display get a continous HDMI signal.

I am not sure if the switching with the BirdDog can be improved. The switching I have seen is not seamless.
