When I googled for detailed reviews on Crestron’s NVX AV over IP system, I was disappointed. Sure, you can find a lot of information on Crestron’s website. And there are other sources as well, but mostly they just copy the information from Crestron.

That’s the first reason I am doing this review. The second reason is that I am always very curious how things work “under the hood”. This review is technical, both on the IT and AV side. So be prepared for Wireshark captures and Oscilloscope video latency measurements!

However, if you are not that technical, don’t worry. Even if you skip the in-depth parts of the review, you will still understand the basics.

I don’t have all the answers, so feedback on this review is highly appreciated: corrections, additions and opinions!
